More Space, More Connections, More Opportunity at TekRidge Enterprise Center

The TekRidge Enterprise Center (TekRidge) in Jessup played host to an expansion and tenant celebration event on September 10. The celebration marked the completion of the multi-million-dollar, 11,500-square-foot expansion of TekRidge, which is located at 50 Alberigi Drive in the Jessup Small Business Center.

Established in 2013, TekRidge is a 45,249-square-foot facility that supports five IGNITE clients and several anchor tenants. The buildout, which was completed in early summer 2026, transformed the large bay area on TekRidge’s north side into four distinct spaces: a state-of-the-art collaboration space and three new anchor spaces.

Over 200 people attended the celebration, many of whom were getting their first look at the new spaces since they were completed. These attendees included Greater Scranton Chamber of Commerce staff and board members, elected officials, community partners and IGNITE clients.

IGNITE’s Presence at TekRidge

The new collaboration space at TekRidge was designed with IGNITE clients in mind. Prior to the buildout, TekRidge did not have a location that could serve as a meeting place for entrepreneurs and their teams to meet each other and network.

Now, networking, idea-sharing, and collaboration are represented by a central hub at TekRidge. The central space includes several modern amenities, including a pitch area, private breakout areas, two large-screen TVs and a recreation room.

“This expansion represents another important investment in the businesses and entrepreneurs driving northeastern Pennsylvania’s economy,” said Bob Durkin, president of The Greater Scranton Chamber of Commerce. “By providing modern, flexible space and connecting tenants with the resources of the Chamber, we are creating an environment where companies can establish roots, grow and create new opportunities in our region.”

How the Buildout Came to Be

Building out 11,500 square feet at TekRidge was no simple task. Multiple parties had to come together to make it possible, led by the Scranton Lackawanna Industrial Building Company (SLIBCO), the business development affiliate of The Greater Scranton Chamber of Commerce.

The buildout represents approximately $2.4 million in investment dollars.

Funding support included $900,000 from Pennsylvania’s Redevelopment Assistance Capital Program (RACP) and $777,000 from the U.S. Small Business Administration (SBA). Elected officials who helped secure funding for the project attended the celebration.

“The completion of this project strengthens the TekRidge Enterprise Center’s role as a center for innovation, collaboration and business growth,” said Amy Luyster, vice president of business and workforce development at the Chamber. “We are grateful to the partners whose support helped bring this vision to life, and we look forward to seeing our tenants continue to thrive in the expanded facility.”

Expansion and Tenant Celebration

The celebration event was broken down into four parts: an outdoor reception and three ribbon cuttings for each of the occupied spaces that were built out as part of the expansion.

At the outdoor reception, several dignitaries spoke of the collaborative process that led to the TekRidge expansion’s completion, as well as the continued collaborations that will take place within the facility’s walls. Speakers included Durkin; Marianne Gilmartin, president of The Chamber board; U.S. Rep. Rob Bresnahan; PA State Rep. Kyle Mullins; Lackawanna County Commissioner Thom Welby; and Jessup Borough Councilman Curt Camoni.

In addition to the ribbon being officially cut on the collaboration space, anchor tenants Ryan Leckey Media — an IGNITE program graduate — and Martina Bacarella Architect also cut ribbons to mark their presence in TekRidge.

The third anchor space, which was open for exploration on the night of the celebration, is currently available for rent.
